While Fury Road tore through theaters as recently as 2015, the original Mad Max hearkens back all the way to 1979. It also was made for a (blog post) measly budget of $300,000 which had more buying power in 79, but still very distinctly categorizes this film (blog post) as low budget. That's no problem though, everyone knows it's legacy and everything, so it's gotta be good, right? ...right?
